Work Experience

After relocating back to the Czech Republic I got offered a remote role at Enhance. I maintained and improved a large React application while collaborating with our Rust backend team, implementing a plethora of new features. The company acquired their first paying customers during my stay there.

Started working for GSG after Pouch got acquired. Developed browser extension white-label solution. Was also involved in various backend microservices using Java Spring Boot or Node.js.

Joined Pouch before my summer break to gain some more experience and continued to work there even throughout the academic year. I mostly took care of their backend services and the AWS architecture, getting familiar with cloud computing. Pouch then got acquired by Global Savings Group in December 2018.

Applied for a junior role but was soon promoted to a full-stack developer. My main responsibility was maintaining clients' websites that were mostly built using WordPress. I was, however, also contributing to several Laravel projects.

This was my first serious employment in the tech field. I was assigned to maintain a big e-commerce backend built on the Zend Framework. I got closely familiar with object-oriented programming not only in PHP but in general.
